Rijksmuseum Facade

Gloomy Rijksmuseum.

After eating my crepes I walked up to the Stedelijk Museum. The de Stijl movement including Theo van Doesburg and Piet Mondrian has always been a favorite of mine and, well, the Stedelijk Museum is ground zero for that sort of thing.

But they had temporarily moved the collection to a location very close to Centraal Station for some reason, so the location near the Rijksmuseum had been closed. Ugh. So I sucked it up and visited the Van Gogh Museum next door. I had been there before and not much had changed, though I enjoyed seeing his work again.

After visiting the Van Gogh Museum I started my trek back to the airport, passing in front of the Rijksmuseum on the way. You can see that the main entrance is boarded up for renovations.
